How to Add a Quiz Funnel to Your Kajabi Website (Step-by-Step)
Let me guess — you've taken approximately 47 personality quizzes in your life. "What kind of plant are you?" "Which Schitt's Creek character are you?" "What does your coffee order say about your communication style?"
You clicked every single one. We all do.
That's exactly why quiz funnels work so well for growing your email list. People love learning about themselves, and when you can tie that irresistible urge to your business? Magic.
I built a quiz funnel for Launch in Style — the Website Style Persona Quiz — and it's now my best-performing lead magnet by a mile. It converts at 42% from views to completions, which blows my old PDF opt-in completely out of the water. In this post, I'm walking you through exactly how I built it so you can do the same thing for your business.
Here's what we're covering:
- Setting up your quiz in Interact
- Creating your results pages in Kajabi
- Building your quiz landing/embed page in Kajabi
- Setting up your email follow-up sequence
Let's get into it.
The Tools You'll Need
Interact — This is the quiz-building platform I use and recommend. It has a free plan to get started, and paid plans start around $27/month. It handles all the quiz logic (questions, scoring, results mapping) and connects directly to your email platform.
Kajabi — Where you'll build your quiz landing page, your results pages, and your email follow-up sequence. If you're already on Kajabi, you're halfway there.
Step 1: Set Up Your Quiz in Interact
Before you touch anything in Kajabi, you need to build your actual quiz. Head to Interact and create a new quiz. Here's how to approach it:
Choose your quiz type
For a personality-style quiz (like mine), you'll select Personality Quiz. This is the most common type for lead generation because it gives people a result they identify with, rather than a right/wrong answer.
Write your questions
Keep it short — 5 to 8 questions is the sweet spot. Remember, the goal is to get people to their results quickly. The longer the quiz, the more drop-off you'll see. Each question should map to a specific result outcome, so think backwards: start with your results first, then write questions that help you figure out which result someone belongs in.
Set up your results
In Interact, you'll create a result for each outcome. For my quiz, the results are:
- The Bold Trendsetter
- The Warm & Approachable Visionary
- The Sophisticated Dreamer
- The Earthy Creative
Each result in Interact just needs a name and a description at this stage — you'll build the full experience over in Kajabi.
Set up your opt-in
This is where the lead generation magic happens. In Interact, you can add an email capture form before someone sees their results. Make it feel worth it — tell them they're about to get their personalized result, and hint at any bonus you're offering (like a discount code). Connect Interact to your email platform (Kajabi, ConvertKit, Flodesk, etc.) so new subscribers flow in automatically.
Get your embed code
Once your quiz is set up, grab your embed code from Interact. You'll need this in Step 3. It'll look like a short snippet of HTML/JavaScript — just copy it and keep it handy.
Step 2: Build Your Results Pages in Kajabi
Here's where your quiz goes from a generic personality test to an actual business asset. Your results pages are the most important part of the whole funnel — this is where people feel seen, trust gets built, and they get pointed toward your offer.
You'll need one dedicated Kajabi page for each result. Here's what each results page should include:
Their result headline
Make it feel like a reveal. Something like "You're the Earthy Creative!" with a short description of what that means for their brand personality. Make it feel personal and accurate — the more "oh wow, that's SO me" you can create, the better.
Their personality profile
Expand on what their result means. What are their strengths? What's their vibe? What does their brand look and feel like? For my quiz, I include three style words and a breakdown of how to bring their persona to life on their website.
Your offer, tailored to their result
This is where the quiz funnel earns its keep. Instead of sending everyone to the same generic sales page, you're pointing each person toward the specific offer that's right for them. For my quiz, each results page features the two Launch in Style template collections that match their style persona.
A personalized discount or bonus
Give them a reason to take action right now. I include a unique discount code on each results page (like CREATIVE for the Earthy Creative result) that gives them 20% off their template purchase. This turns a free lead magnet into an actual conversion tool.
Pro tip: If you want your results pages to look polished and professional without spending hours designing them, the Kajabi Quiz Kit Nº01 has three ready-to-go results page templates built specifically for this. Just swap in your content and go.
Step 3: Build Your Quiz Landing Page (and Embed Your Quiz) in Kajabi
Your quiz landing page has one job: get people to start the quiz. It should be clean, compelling, and quick to load. Here's what to include:
A headline that sells the result, not the quiz
Nobody wants to "take a quiz." They want to know their brand personality, find their perfect template match, discover their marketing style — whatever the outcome is. Lead with that.
For my page, the headline is: "What's Your Website's Style Persona?" — not "Take Our Quiz." See the difference?
A short description of what they'll get
Tell them exactly what they're about to find out and how long it'll take. I use: "In under a minute, you'll discover your Brand Style Persona, your perfect Kajabi template match, and tips on how to infuse your unique vibe into your website." Clear, specific, fast.
The quiz embed
This is where that embed code from Interact comes in. In Kajabi, you'll add a Custom Code block to your page and paste your Interact embed code directly into it.
Watch the video below for a step-by-step walkthrough of exactly how to embed your Interact quiz into a Kajabi page:
A teaser for the bonus
Let people know there's something waiting for them at the end. I use a subtle line: "Psst... you may find a special code for 20% off your new template after completing the quiz!" A little mystery goes a long way.
Step 4: Set Up Your Email Follow-Up Sequence
Getting someone on your list is step one. What you do next is what separates a quiz that just grows your list from one that actually makes you money.
Your follow-up sequence should do three things:
1. Deliver their result (if you didn't already). If someone opts in before seeing their result, your first email should deliver it. Even if they saw it on the results page, a follow-up email reinforces it and gives them something to come back to.
2. Nurture based on their result. This is where segmentation gets powerful. Because you know which result someone got, you can send them emails that speak directly to their situation. If you're using Kajabi's email automation, you can tag subscribers based on which results page they visited and send them into different sequences from there.
3. Point them toward the right offer. Over the next few emails, guide them toward the offer that's right for their result. Don't pitch immediately — warm them up first. Share relevant content, address common objections, and let the sale feel like a natural next step.
If you grabbed the Kajabi Quiz Kit Nº01, it comes with 6 email templates already written for exactly this sequence. You just personalize and send — no staring at a blank screen required.
Ready to Build Your Quiz Funnel?
A quiz funnel isn't just a cute marketing trick. It's one of the most effective ways to grow your email list with people who are already engaged, already segmented, and already warming up to your offers before you ever send a single pitch.
If you're on Kajabi and you're ready to build yours, the Kajabi Quiz Kit Nº01 has everything you need to make it happen — results page templates, a quiz embed page, promo graphics, and a full email sequence — all ready to go inside Kajabi.
And if you want to see a live example of the whole thing in action first, take my Website Style Persona Quiz here. Spoiler: it's pretty fun. 😄
